Hi, I’m Rabecca Sisson. I’m an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) and creative problem-solver who believes that when learning is memorable, it’s effective.
Every lesson I design begins with the same guiding question:
How can I empower employees to engage with this learning authentically so they demonstrate real skill improvement in their roles?
While the concept sounds simple—make it memorable—the design process behind it is thoughtful and learner-focused. My goal is to create training experiences that are engaging, practical, and directly connected to real workplace situations.
To accomplish this, I:
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure content is relevant while carefully managing cognitive load
• Ground learners in the material by demonstrating its direct impact on their roles
• Incorporate emotional engagement, reasoning, and reflection to strengthen retention
• Create interactive experiences using storytelling, scenario-based learning, gamification, and hands-on activities
My design approach is supported by adult learning theory, established instructional design frameworks, and structured methodologies such as the ADDIE model.
My toolkit continues to evolve alongside today’s rapidly changing technology landscape. I am proficient in Articulate 360, Microsoft Office 365, Vyond, and AI-powered development tools.
